The very next day after my last post (complaining about the freezing weather here) the weather was warmer. It was almost normal.

Today, it was still warmer.

No wind.

I am a happy girl.  :)

In celebration of the lovely weather, we took a walk today up a little mountain road near our village.

It was awesome!

I am ready for summer and sad that we only have one or two kinda warm months out of the year. We have about six months (sometimes more) of winter weather here. I would be lying if I said that I loved winter that much. :)

It is tolerable because it is so terribly beautiful.

First three photos were taken with the Nikon D60 and the last three with the Lumix (point and shoot).  All photos were taken by me during our walk today.

More photos tomorrow! I promise.

I finally finished all my ironing yesterday. Still haven’t cleaned out my fridge but did mop the apartment today. I just never feel like I can ever really get on top of housework since it is always a work in progress.

Vilay has been on medical leave due to a fractured hand. It has been about five weeks that he has been home with us. Five weeks too long. :) Him being home is the equivalent of having two (perhaps three) extra children in the house. He should go back in a couple weeks. Then, I should have more time to update the blog and Facebook. I am surprised my family hasn’t left me any emails asking where I disappeared to the last few weeks since I haven’t been posting updates on Facebook.  Which brings me to the fact that I have a love/hate relationship with Facebook.

It is the easiest way to communicate with family and friends quickly and all at once. So, it is a keeper even if I do have issues with it.  More and more of my family is joining Facebook and I adore seeing all their photos and reading about what they are up to.   I just need to figure out how to set it up so that only one group of people can read some of my more personal updates.

While some of the people I went to high school with are still good friends most of them are faint memories.  I am not comfortable with everyone that I went to high school with or know in passing being able to read my most intimate updates.  That is where my issue with Facebook lies.  I know I can fix it but need time to work out how to do it.  Meaning…I need to google how to do it and then walk myself through it.

Have a great weekend everyone!

I’ve gotta take some and post more photos. How beautiful! I would rather have the cooler snow than rain every day being soaking wet! We have a time change here in North America tonight…. Yuck!

I understand your preference to snow over rain. I hate rain in winter. I didn’t realize there was a time change in North America already!!! I wish that the time didn’t change…I don’t like it.

    Hi Tracy,

I can just tell you how to do what you want to do with Facebook. Maybe save you a few minutes, if I can explain it well enough.

For status updates, there is a little padlock icon right under the box. If you mouse over it, it will say who will be able to read what you write in the box. If you click on it, you will see a list: click on “customize.”

You can choose to show to a custom list of people or hide from a custom list of people.

It’s easier if you can set up a list of friends that you want to see certain posts, like family or close people. Or, if you’re like me, I’ve been playing Farmville (oh no!), and I started hiding the Farmville posts from people who aren’t playing. (I know they get annoyed….)

Anyway, once you have customized the post, you click “save setting” and then publish it. Evidently, you can also make that your default setting, and then open up certain posts to everyone. I haven’t tried that yet.

If you don’t know how to set up a friends list, this is how to do it: Go to Account > Edit friends. Click on Friends in the left hand list. It should bring up a list of all your friends. Click on “Create new list” at the top of the page. Name it something easy to remember, like “Close Friends” or something. Then add whoever you want to be in your list. Then when you post something private, you can publish it for them, as above.

Let me know if you need any more help or if I didn’t explain it well enough. I don’t check my email that’s published with this blog very often, but if you want anything, just post a comment on my site, and it comes to the email address that I use everyday. Sorry to be so confusing; it’s past my bedtime already.

    Sweet dreams!

I just saw this on Facebook tonight, and I thought of you!

This might even work better if your family members want to post photos, etc., too! Check it out. I’m curious as to what you decide to do.
