Where did all the snow go?

I took the photo below on February the 2nd.

The Jura under the snow

I took this one today, February the 8th.

All the snow is melting!

I think it is interesting to see how the same landscape can look so different when it is covered in snow and the sky changes.

The snow began melting a few days ago due to a nice warm sun. We are going to be blessed with three more days of gorgeous weather!

I was surprised to find that I am searching for my sunglasses as much in the winter here in the Jura as in the summer. The sun is intense and when the sun reflects off of the snow it literally blinds me.

I really do love when it snows here in Switzerland!

I never would have thought that I…ME…Pumpkin Pie…would ever, ever, ever in a million years say that I love snow.

Yet, I do.

Wow – that’s quite the quick melt. If you get a chance, I have some questions about where to visit in France on my blog. Any advice you could give would be great!

Sorry – I just noticed that the website associated with my last post was not where the question regarding France was. I corrected that. Essentially, I am wondering about visiting Dordogne. Does it make for a nice holiday? Is it easy to get around? Thanks.

I think we almost had the exact same changes here. Our changes were due to a result of rain or warmer weather resulting in rain instead of snow. We are lucky to see sun, very lucky.. I miss the sun so badly!

Psychgrad, I dropped a message on your blog. Thank you for reposting the personal blog link. I got lost on the food blog! :)

Expatraveler, I think that is why I don’t mind it here with snow. We usually have sun and blue skies here in the Jura even with snow. Well, after it is done snowing of course. In Ohio and Alsace that is not the case.
