Mulled wine

by Pumpkin on November 15, 2010

Vilay and I had our first mulled wine in celebration of this upcoming holiday season. It was a good way to fight off a cold rainy day in Bale.

My In-laws came for a visit this past weekend. It was nice to have them here.   They bought a desk for each girl as a birthday gift. The girls kept saying over and over how pretty their room is. They said that now it is a real bedroom. I have to admit that the changes we made to how the room was arranged and the addition of two desks made a huge difference!

Now all three children and Vilay have a desk to work at. We have some redecorating to do in the living room since we moved the desk from there into our bedroom for Vilay. I want a reading space and perhaps later another desk. Or perhaps, a dinning room table for entertaining.  Better yet…a large piece of furniture for storing away extra blankets and pillows.  We will see.

mmm, mulled cider. One of my most favorite things to have this time of year! But I’ve never had mulled wine–it MUST be good.

Oh both sound amazing! I feel excited inside for all of your changes as we are working on doing lots of the same things! I’d love to see pics of the girls new desks (fb perhaps?)..

And the wine — I’ll dream of having some. Maybe next holiday season! I love festive Basel this time of year!

Oh this so reminds me of our trip last year .. I remember going to the Christmas market, standing in the little marquee , listening to the music and admiring the splendid lights.

How wonderful of in-laws to buy the desks.. I would do the same for my grandchild. So good for them to enjoy their space :-)

We were very happy that they bought the girls desks. It has really made homework time less chaotic.

I can’t wait for Christmas markets to get started here. I love Christmas time in Switzerland. It is very traditional and sweet.
