Morges, Switzerland is called the flower of Lake Geneva due to the abundance of flowers and peaceful atmosphere found all along the lake. We had the great pleasure of spending a day in this beautiful city this past Saturday before retiring to a hotel in Lausanne that night. Sunday was spent enjoying the lake in Lausanne. Murten (Morat), Switzerland Switzerland, Travel | (6)
Morat is a picturesque city that in the past was known as a defensive city. Most of the ramparts and towers are still standing making this city a charming place to spend a day. I highly recommend Morat if you are looking for a small city full of history to visit in Switzerland. We are planning on going back this summer. Bulle, Switzerland Switzerland, Travel | (5)
We went to Bulle in La Gruyère region on Sunday. We walked around Bulle for a couple hours before we decided we had time to sneak in a visit to Charmey. Bulle is a beautiful and well preserved city. Some of Bulle's main attractions (according to one of my favorite websites MySwitzerland.com) are: Gruyère Museum - the Musée Gruérien exhibits the region’s history, art and traditions. Wednesday, we spent a long day exploring Fribourg and Romont (a medieval city founded in the tenth century about 30 minutes from Fribourg) since this is the area of Switzerland that my luck lies within.
