Almond oil for dry skin

Every winter I am faced with the same problem. I have dry skin. When I smile I can feel my skin pulling taunt even if I apply a moisturizer in the morning and at night. On top of that I have sensitive skin. Many moisturizers can irritate my skin.

Turning to my favorite source of endless information, I did a quick search online for a solution to my dry skin.

It took two seconds to find almond oil.

I, also, learned that almond oil has been used for skin care as far back as the Egyptians.

For the past five days, I have washed my face only in almond oil dabbing a little extra around my eyes before bedtime.

Immediately, I felt a difference. My skin didn’t have that tight feeling any longer and it has gotten smoother with each day.

I have read online that almond oil is great for those dark circles under your eyes and preventing crows feet.

If you are allergic to nuts DO NOT USE almond oil.

Does it make you break out? I have extremely dry skin, which is not helped by the terrible winters here in LargeUtown. I’m worried that applying oil to my face would result in pimples….

unbalanced reaction, I have sensitive skin and so far it hasn’t caused a reaction or breakout which some of the face creams I have tried have. Actually, most skin care products have almond oil in them.

I would recommend trying it on a small part of your neck first or somewhere near your hairline. I use just a few drops with cool water to clean my face and then I gently rub a a drop or two around my eyes before I go to bed.

The oil is very light and soaks into your face quickly. It takes just a tiny amount. My husband used it to calm some irritated skin on the side of his nose that was red and the skin was peeling. It was better from the first day he used it. I read that almond oil soothes your skin.

My face is actually smoother since I started using it. :)

I started using almond oil about 3 days ago …. my skin feels smoother, I don’t see a difference yet around my eyes – dark circles – but 3 days is a very short period, I will continue using it instead of any other moisturizers

I feel much better knowing that I am not putting any chemicals on my face

I still use it but need to get more since it is almost gone. I can see a big difference in my skin from before I used it.
