Time to catch up

by Pumpkin on August 27, 2010

Yesterday was hot, hot, hot outside.
Today is a cold rainy day.

My girls have started taking Italian at school through a special program. This is normally for students that have Italian origins. Since Italian is an official language of Switzerland the program is open to all students. They love it!  Yesterday was a party and the kids got to eat Italian cake, candies and drink Coca-Cola (American not Italian…hehehe).

My son adores school. I was so nervous about him going but in the end he has done beautifully. Yesterday his teacher took the class for a walk in the forest. Apparently, she does this every Thursday if the weather permits. I love that the kids aren’t stuck in a classroom and that they get out into nature.

The apartment is clean. And for once I am all alone with nothing to do.

Perfect for catching up with you all here. :)

So lovely!!!!! That does sound like a great school your kids go to… Glad things are running/working out so well for you right now. MY computer is down, hope to get it fixed, but at least we have a second computer.. :)

I would love to have a second computer. A lap top would be perfect. I can only imagine how frustrating it must be when you are used to having your own and then having to share. But, it is nice that you can still get online.

How cool that the kids can study Italian when they’re that young! They’re on their way to trilingualism….

What is funny is that Italian is the fourth language they have been exposed to (not including all the Spanish songs we have listened to on youtube). In Kindergarten, my girls already learned a little German. :D

I am very happy with their education here to say the least.
