Thankful…

November 27, 2009

I purposefully didn’t post here yesterday.  I know most of you that visit here are not from the States.  Yet, Today.  I had to tell all of you that I am thankful for you visiting, commenting and reading this blog.  You have given me so much comfort and support [...]

Reflecting on my son

November 24, 2009

A facebook update I made today: “Scary when my four year old son figures out how to turn the cordless mouse off and laughs like mad while I am trying to figure out why the computer is frozen up….BRAT!” He is growing up so fast and he doesn’t miss anything.  His speach (French and English) [...]

Schwarzer Peter (Old Maid card game)

November 22, 2009

I love the box for our Old Maid cards. Notice how the man’s arms get longer as you slide the box open. When I was a kid we played Old Maid with a regular deck of 52 cards. No matter what type of cards you play with, it is a fun game to pass the [...]

Sick and tired

November 11, 2009

It is my turn after the kids are starting to feel better. I am sick. I am tired. The  sky has been a mixture of blue and grey all day which kinda reflects how I have felt all day. Vilay is going to the meeting tonight between the parents and the teachers (of my youngest [...]

It is snowing

November 9, 2009

I look outside my window and watch the snow falling softly, quietly to the ground. Afterwards, I am quiet inside. The snow has arrived in the form of a cozy blanket of white.

Laryngitis scare

November 7, 2009

My seven year old woke up around 3:30 a.m. Friday morning barely able to breath. It was scary. We quickly got her to the hospital thanks to a neighbor who has a car. It took well over an hour to get her breathing without struggling for every single breath. It turned out that she has [...]
